[His eyebrows just climb for space, and he nudges his glasses up on his nose, chuckling to overall ignore that question. He had to be being facetious. Right?]

I haven't measured my top speed in some time, but "really, really fast" is likely accurate, yes.

_{[ He's getting really distracted by Tenya's awesome speedy legs that he's nearly forgets to get the poor boy his juice. ]}

_{[ He zips off, again with his playful little jog and comes back with the orange juice. This time, he invites himself to sit down cross from the other male. ]}

Can I... see you go really fast?

[Listen, he doesn't mind. He's not the sort to boast who he is or his abilities, but the Engines are definitely... weird and attention-grabbing, so if he's wearing shorts or has his pants rolled up they're bound to get someone's attention, and he's not about to forego an explanation.]

Oh-- sure, yes. [He'd almost forgotten, himself. He sits, and brightens when America sits across from him. For one, that meant he was taking a moment to actually sit, and the poor guy looked overcaffeinated and probably needed to take a rest, and for two, it meant conversation. Sue him, he likes talking to people.]

Certainly not inside your restaurant, but sometime when you aren't working, absolutely. [He'll even piggyback you while going really fast if you want.]

Hmmm. Yeah, okay, that's valid, but it shouldn't be a problem to run around really fast in here. You know. If you had to. You know. If you were required to. You know, if it were really busy and you were a server here and had to help many people at once. It wouldn't be an issue. Hypothetically. Absolutely.

Anyway.

_{[ America folds his hands together on the table and gives Tenya his absolute "interview mode" posture, another warm smile on his face. ]}

I mean, you agree that providing prompt service to a customer would make them happier, right?

[Okay maybe don't sue the sixteen year old who doesn't have a job yet. You won't get much but orange juice.]

[He blinks slowly, the statement "If you were required to" catching him off-guard. Was he being threatened? Of course then America continues, and the brief tension to Tenya's shoulders eases as he realizes he's just profiling him for a waitstaff position.]

[Wait, what?]

[He mirrors the motion of folding his hands together, though he folds them around the base of the glass of orange juice he's been provided with, slowly raising the straw to his lips and keeping perplexed eye contact as he takes a drink. He sets the glass back down before he answers.]

I'm sorry, am I being interviewed?

...Well it certainly does look like you could use some extra hands around here-- admittedly I wasn't prepared for a job interview when I walked in. I've never really had a formal job as of yet, I'm a student, but my work ethic in class is very good.

[Now he's trying to figure out how to ace an interview he never even signed up for. Engine legs included.]

Dude, I can totally see it. I'm pretty sure the assistant manager has never worked a damn day in his life. Actually, I'm pretty sure he makes his living by dumpster diving and prostitution before coming here.

So don't worry about work experience! Just do what I tell you to do and it'll be just great! That way you can get some money without being all love-dovey on people. No offense, but I can already tell you're not exactly DTF.. or.. DTC..?? Down to.. cuddle? Whatever floats your boat, hahaha!
